Ice Mile Swim - 11/21/2015
To qualify for the ice mile, a swimmer must swim a mile in water less than 41 degrees cold. In Colorado in November that is easy to find.
Sarah Thomas and Karl Kingery successfully completed it on Saturday, 11/21/2015. Escorted on paddle board by the first American ice-miler, Craig Lenning, the three are now members of an elite international club, which includes approximately 20 Americans as of this day.
To the left is a picture of all who supported Sarah and Karl with Sarah and Karl in the center. That's Karl's arm around Sarah. And, Craig is the one with the shorts on wearing the goofy hat.
Most still shots are provided by Ken Classen and videos by Ed Hoch.
