What is this website all about?
This website is devoted to two of my favorite passions, swimming and film. Swimming is just one form of exercise known to produce a euphoric state by releasing hormones called endorphins. Endorphins are also produced by any pleasurable experience, such as watching a great film. Have you ever heard of a "feel-good" movie?
If you click on the Films tab above you will be able to access the s2c database of films and find other links to film-related info. For the last 15 years over Labor Day, I travel to the Telluride Film Festival. You will find links to all those festival years.
If you click on the Swimming tab above you will be able to view swimming events, pics and videos.
For me, swimming is all about the zen of open water swimming. Whenever I can find it, and in Colorado that can be a challenge, I love the relaxation of being totally isolated and alone with nature. It will usually cleanse my mind of life's annoying distractions.
This website is always a work in progress. I will be making updates when I can find the time when I'm not in the pool, lake, ocean, movie theatre or couch surfing. Most of all have fun with it. Please contact me, Ed, with any of your endorphin experiences viewing a particular film, or any general feedback. Or, maybe I'll just see you in the wall lane at the local pool with other "aquaholics."
